Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician (PRN) at Christus Retail Pharmacy in Alamogordo, NM. Responsibilities include ensuring procurement and distribution of drug orders, identifying and filling replacement medications for emergency crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock; preparing sterile products including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition; delivering medications and supplies to patient care areas; rotating stock; handling returns; and entering charges/credits while identifying outdated drugs. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred, and state registration/CPhT as applicable; formal technician training completion is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of pharmacy technician experience preferably in a hospital setting
- Possess current pharmacy technician registration in the State of employment/practice if required
- Possess National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) if required in the State of employment/practice. Where not required, it is preferred
- Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred
