Job Summary
Compounds and prepares medications, including sterile and non-sterile products, hazardous drugs, and TPN, while adhering to USP 795, 797, and 800 standards. Delivers medications to patient care areas, manages inventory levels, and rotates stock to handle expiration dates. Operates automated dispensing technology, responds to customer service requests, and maintains regulatory compliance through periodic inspections of storage areas. Participates in process improvement initiatives and completes required documentation in record-keeping systems.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma Or GED equivalent
- PHRMTECH-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nebraska
- PHAR-C - Certified Pharmacy Tech from a Nebraska recognized national or local certification board within 9 months of hire
- Successful completion of security check in compliance with requirements set by the State of Nebraska
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively, professionally and courteously with other health care professionals, colleagues and customers
- Strong Technology Skills
- Takes responsibility for personal and professional growth
Desired Qualifications
- One year of pharmacy technician work experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
