Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in processing prescriptions, enters medication orders into the pharmacy system, and operates automated dispensing equipment under pharmacist supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, receiving and inspecting stock deliveries, performing routine inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, updating records, and ensuring proper storage. The role involves preparing, packaging, and labeling non-sterile drug products with final pharmacist checks, while complying with Board of Pharmacy regulations and SHC's C-I-CARE standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Six months of progressively responsible related work experience or Pharmacy Technician Externship
- IPH - Intern Pharmacist or CA Licensed Pharmacy Technician
