Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem at Bristol Health supports the staff pharmacist with duties including ordering, inventory control, preparing IV admixtures, packaging, labeling and distributing medications, and maintaining records. Responsibilities include restocking Pyxis machines, delivering medications to patient care locations, communicating with nurses and pharmacists, handling controlled substances, ensuring USP<797> standards for IV admixtures, participating in performance improvement, training new staff, and performing select clerical duties in a central hospital pharmacy setting.
Required Qualifications
- Registration with the Department of Consumer Protection
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or equivalent) within 24 months of hire
- Certified Pharmacy Technician with Department of Consumer Protection
- Literate in English, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform pharmacy mathematical calculations
- Computer and keypunch knowledge
- Maintains knowledge of pharmaceutical/medical terms, abbreviations, and symbols
- High School diploma
