Job Summary
Fill and dispense unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and ancillary departments while triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system. Manage oral and IV medication distribution with prompt accuracy. Requires Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician license or equivalent certification, one year of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system, and current PTCB certification. Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician
- Oregon Pharmacy Technician License
- Minimum of one year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification
- 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program
- Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable for role
- Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
