Job Summary
Refill patient medication bins via robot cart fill and manual picks, update labeling for admissions, transfers, and discharges, and deliver 24-hour cart fills to nursing units. Check storage areas for discontinued medications, reorder supplies, and send prepared medications via pneumatic tube or direct delivery. Manage automated dispensing cabinet inventory, ensure proper drug storage, and prepare IV medications using aseptic techniques in full compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 regulations. Work rotating day/evening shifts including weekends and holidays, requiring manual dexterity to move heavy carts and lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification
- Maryland Pharmacy Technician License
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to push or pull a fully weighted cart of 250 lbs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
