Job Summary
Assist the Pharmacist in drug procurement, preparation, storage, inventory control, distribution, orders, prescriptions, and dispensing while maintaining superior pharmacy operations. Complete assigned areas of pharmacy services under direct supervision. Maintain State Board of Pharmacy Tech in Training license or current State Board license as a Pharmacy Technician or Intern for the State where services will be provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent GED
- Successful completion of high school Algebra course
- Must have or be eligible for a State Board of Pharmacy Tech in Training license or a current State Board license as a Pharmacy Technician or Intern for the State where services will be provided
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Successful completion or enrollment in Indiana Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician Training program, within one year of employment
- Successful completion of clerical and science courses
- Computer classes and experience
- One year pharmacy experience and/or pharmacy technician oriented formal class work
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills
