Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician (Oncology) needed to prepare sterile IV infusions and manage inventory in a California oncology infusion center. Responsibilities include sterile compounding of chemotherapy and oncology medications following USP <797>/<800>, maintaining aseptic technique, inventory management using Nucleus systems, monitoring and restocking hazardous/non-hazardous drugs, conducting regular audits, ensuring proper storage and regulatory compliance, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and leadership to ensure timely patient care. Requires active California Pharmacy Technician license, 1–2 years in sterile compounding/inventory, familiarity with USP standards, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. PTCB certification is preferred. Physical demands include standing and PPE usage; on-site roles at La Jolla and San Diego locations.
Required Qualifications
- Active California State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacy Technician License (required)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sterile compounding and inventory management, preferably in an oncology or infusion center setting
- Familiarity with USP <797> and <800> standards
- Proficiency with Nucleus cabinet and portal systems or similar inventory management tools
