Job Summary
Prepare, process, fill, and check prescriptions under pharmacist supervision while maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with Alberta College of Pharmacy standards. Provide direct patient interaction by answering inquiries, educating customers on membership benefits, and fostering strong relationships. Manage inventory through ordering, receiving, and organizing medications, while operating and maintaining pharmacy equipment safely. Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and a clean work environment. Full availability required including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Completed a Pharmacy Technician Diploma program
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (required)
- Must be self-reliant, goal-oriented, and adaptable to new technology
- Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, and professionally at all times
- Must be available for full availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Kroll Pharmacy Software is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel) is an asset
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, attention to detail and decision-making skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
