Job Summary
Licensed Pharmacy Technicians in a remote, home-based role responsible for screening orders, reviewing and entering prescription overrides, ensuring patients receive correct prescriptions, directing questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification, and maintaining production and quality standards. Requires a Pharmacy Technician license in the resident state with an active national certification (CPhT), at least 6 months of related experience, strong computer and data-entry skills, ability to read prescription terminology and medications, and a private, internet-enabled workspace. Location is work-from-home with residency requirements in FL, IL, PA, or TX; typical hours are Mon-Fri with rotating Saturdays, and overtime may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician license in compliance with applicable state law where applicant resides
- An active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
- Candidate must reside in the state of Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas
- Pennsylvania requires an active state technician license
- Texas requires an active state technician license
- Florida requires an active state technician license
- Illinois requires active state technician license AND national certification (must be marked certified on state Illinois license)
- Minimum of 6 months related pharmacy technician experience
- Adept at reading and interpreting prescription terminology and medications
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- A secure and private room free from noise and distractions, with a closing door and ergonomic-friendly work area
- Must have your own internet provider that can support the virtual working environment
- Data Entry Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail while multitasking through various programs
