Pharmacy Technician – Non Certified at Hy-Vee provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service while assisting pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of prescription medications. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, entering patient and prescription data, preparing labels and prescriptions for dispensing, handling insurance claims, and maintaining the pharmacy area. The role requires the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail setting, adherence to statutes/regulations (including HIPAA), and the potential to administer vaccines as allowed by law. Education required: high school diploma or equivalent; ongoing pursuit of a licensed technician certification. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and extensive travel within a store environment. Employment contingent upon successful pre-employment drug screen.
