Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician III assists pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications and is accountable to the supervising pharmacist for patient care and safety, following applicable standards and federal, state & local laws. The role participates in orientation and supports accuracy and efficiency within Mercy Pharmacy St Louis, contributing to high-quality patient care through collaboration, professionalism, and compassionate service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalence exam
- Actively registered with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit registration by first day of work
- Fingerprinting for FBI background check
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
- Tech II requires 1-year relevant pharmacy experience; Tech III requires 3-year relevant pharmacy experience
- Possibly 2 years preferred/required depending on Tech level
- Successful completion of pharmacy department orientation
