Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications and is accountable to the supervising pharmacist responsible for patient care and safety. Follows applicable standards and federal, state, and local laws and regulations for the care and safety of customers and patients. Position is part-time (24 hours weekly) at Mercy Pharmacy Dierbergs Arnold; education and licensure requirements include high school diploma/equivalence and active Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration (or ability to submit for registration by first day). Orientation completes prior to duties.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalence exam
- Licensure: Actively registered, in good standing, with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to submit application by first day of work, including fingerprints for FBI background check
- Experience: 1-year relevant pharmacy experience preferred but not required (Pharmacy Tech II requires 2 years)
- Certifications: for Tech II, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by PTCB
- Successful completion of pharmacy department orientation
