Job Summary
Accurately prepare, count, label, and package medications for pharmacist verification while entering prescription and patient information into pharmacy systems. Support prescription processing, including transfers, documentation, and controlled substance handling in accordance with regulatory requirements. Assist with patient access through insurance adjudication, claim resolution, refill coordination, and medication synchronization. Conduct patient outreach to support adherence and administer immunizations where authorized. Manage medication and supply inventory, including ordering, receiving, restocking, and processing returns to wholesalers. Process prescriptions through billing systems, resolve claim issues, and support point-of-sale transactions. Maintain accurate records, follow federal and state policies, and collaborate with pharmacists to optimize workflow and ensure a compliant environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Active State Board of Pharmacy registration/licensure
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience preferred
