Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician role supporting preparation, dispensing, inventory, and compliance in a specialty pharmacy setting. Responsibilities include medication preparation (packing, repacking, compounding, barcoding), maintaining pharmacy records, assisting with inventory control, and delivering products while upholding confidentiality and regulatory standards. Proficient use of pharmacy technologies (automated dispensing systems, robotics, barcoding, Verify) and computer applications, with strong customer service to patients and collaboration with Managers and Pharmacists to ensure accurate, compliant patient-focused services. Minimum High School diploma or GED, active pharmacy technician license, 1+ years pharmacy experience, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of laws and accreditation standards, plus attention to detail and effective interpersonal skills, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license with the Board of Pharmacy in the respective state of applicant required
- Active National Certification verified by PTCB or ExCPT is preferred
- 1+ years of direct pharmacy-related experience required
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to speak English and follow complex instructions
- Basic computer proficiency
- Multi-tasking and attention to detail
- Knowledge of automated dispensing machines and barcoding systems
- Compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Ability to work at client sites with holidays as needed
