Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician role in an oncology clinic supporting medication preparation and dispensing, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include preparing and mixing chemotherapy under licensed supervision, maintaining the Nucleus medication dispensing system, reviewing next-day orders with nursing staff, ordering and tracking supplies, maintaining records for compassionate drug programs and clinical trials, ensuring OSHA and privacy compliance, and training nursing staff on chemotherapy workflows. Collaborates with nurses, physicians, supervisors, and pharmaceutical representatives to support patient care across locations and may work overtime or travel to clinics as needed. Requires PTCB Certification or registered technician status and a willingness to travel occasionally; a valid state driver’s license is required.
Required Qualifications
- PTCB Certification or Registered as Pharmacy Technician
- Willing to travel occasionally to educational and research meetings as well as training sessions
- Valid State Driver's License for travel to clinics
