Job Summary
Support pharmacists with prescription processing, sterile compounding, inventory management, and quality assurance activities in accordance with state, federal, and USP standards. Coordinate medication, supply, and equipment deliveries while maintaining accurate patient and pharmacy records. Serve as the primary contact for patients, caregivers, and internal teams, escalating clinical concerns as needed. Manage pharmacy inventory, document quality control activities, and generate operational reports to drive performance improvement. Provide professional customer service and administrative support to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant home infusion pharmacy services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and unrestricted pharmacy technician licensure, certification or registration where required by state law
- Completion of sterile compounding training and competency assessments as required by company policy and regulatory standards, if required by state law
- Knowledge of basic drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic technique
- Knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> standards and practices
- Working knowledge of applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations and quality standards
- Proficient with pharmacy management systems, electronic medical records, and Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy technician experience preferred
- home infusion, sterile compounding, or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
