Job Summary
Coordinate pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists with prescription processing, sterile compounding, and inventory management under supervision. Maintain clean room environments and conduct quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with USP standards and federal regulations. Manage patient medication deliveries, supply logistics, and accurate recordkeeping while serving as a key contact for patients and providers. Support reimbursement processes and generate operational reports to drive performance improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and unrestricted pharmacy technician licensure, certification or registration where required by state law
- Completion of sterile compounding training and competency assessments as required by company policy and regulatory standards, if required by state law
- Knowledge of basic drug terminology
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations
- Knowledge of drug use and aseptic technique
- Knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> standards and practices
- Working knowledge of applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations and quality standards
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems
- Proficiency with electronic medical records
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy technician experience
- Home infusion experience
- Sterile compounding experience
- Specialty pharmacy experience
