Job Summary
Support pharmacists with prescription processing, sterile compounding, and daily pharmacy operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of home infusion services. Prepare pharmaceutical products in compliance with USP standards, maintain clean room environments, and manage inventory through ordering, receiving, and stocking. Coordinate medication and equipment deliveries, maintain accurate patient and operational records, and conduct quality assurance activities. Provide professional customer service to patients, caregivers, and providers while verifying authorizations and assisting with reimbursement processes. Generate management reports and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and unrestricted pharmacy technician licensure, certification or registration where required by state law
- Completion of sterile compounding training and competency assessments as required by company policy and regulatory standards, if required by state law
- Knowledge of basic drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic technique
- Knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> standards and practices
- Working knowledge of applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations and quality standards
- Proficient with pharmacy management systems, electronic medical records, and Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Home infusion, sterile compounding, or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
