Job Summary
Procure and distribute medication orders per physician request or prearranged assignments using appropriate pharmaceutical technique and automation equipment. Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures. Contribute to the effective operation of the department under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This evening shift role requires a Registered Pharmacy Technician with 3-5 years of experience in a hospital or retail setting. Starting pay is $21.93/hr.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years experience in a pharmacy setting as a pharmacy technician
- Registered Pharmacy Technician - MO
- Registered Pharmacy Technician - KS
- Certified Pharmacy Technician - National
- ExCPT Pharmacy Technician
- seasonal influenza vaccine
- willingness to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella)
- evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005
- supply of immunization records as proof of vaccination
- medical and/or religious exemptions discussion with Human Resources
- criminal background investigation
- drug screen
- work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations
- no remote work eligibility
