Job Summary
Manage specialty infusion medications by coordinating with financial assistance, prior authorization, and scheduling teams. Monitor prior authorizations and financial assistance daily, communicate with personnel on outstanding items, and identify literature for appeals. Complete regular outreach calls to remind patients of upcoming appointments and check on their wellbeing. Audit documentation for accuracy, monitor outside infusions, and refer all clinical issues to the pharmacist. Assist in staff training and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- HS/GED plus 4 yrs Pharmacy Tech Experience or Bachelors Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences
- 1 year to obtain ASHP/ACPE accredited technician training or certificate program (such as PTCB Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician, ASHP Sterile Compounding Certificate, etc.)
- National Technician Certification (PTCB)
- Arkansas Pharmacy Technician Licensure
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening
- Criminal Background Check
- Substance Abuse Testing
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 2+ years of UAMS pharmacy experience
- Computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office and EMR experience)
