Pharmacy Technician- Ironton Pharmacy

Job Summary
Fills floor stock from stock requisitions/inventory reconciliation/and computer-generated pick lists; fills inpatient carts by a Pharmacy Info System generated fill list report for pharmacist check-off; profiles physician orders in computer system for pharmacist review; reconciles I.V.'s and critical care drips; handles drugs used in Surgery, knowledge of brand/generic names, and charge mechanism for patient billing; recognizes narcotic discrepancies and performs audits; restocks anesthesia carts in OR suites; delivers medications to nursing units/hospital departments and conducts hourly medication runs; enters patient charges/credits into computer profile; checks incoming orders against purchase requisitions for accuracy; provides prompt, courteous service to pharmacy window and telephone inquiries; communicates with Purchasing Agent regarding stock levels; ensures stock rotation and proper storage; maintains general cleanliness of work area; duties may vary with assignment; reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals per law; full job description available upon request.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required
- If practicing in Ohio: Registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician required
- Must comply with licensure and CE requirements as outlined by the board of pharmacy
- If practicing in Kentucky: Registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy is required
- Must comply with licensure and CE requirements as outlined by the board of pharmacy pursuant to KRS 315.135
