Job Summary
Perform all technical aspects of prescription preparation including compounding and dispensing as assigned. Replenish stock medication supplies, update patient information in pharmacy systems, and complete required reports and documentation. Support staff training, manage workload measurement, and handle purchasing and receiving activities. Participate in inventory counts and perform cross-functional duties as requested. Practice under the supervision of a Part A pharmacist or Part A pharmacy technician.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a two-year community college Pharmacy Technician Program or recognized equivalent
- Registration as an Intern Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Ability to work variable shifts
- Standing and walking for several hours at a time
- Light lifting of boxes
- Sitting and repetitive hand motions for several hours at a time
- Accurate hand/eye coordination of fine movements
- Criminal Record Check
Desired Qualifications
- Membership with the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Technicians (CAPT)
