Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care for patients across Carle Foundation Hospital and affiliated locations. Responsibilities include filing, compounding (non-sterile and select sterile tasks), reconstitution, labeling, and delivery; accurately and safely preparing and labeling chemotherapy drugs; restocking Omnicell lists; processing new prescriptions and refills; performing billing tasks (nursing unit charges, controlled substances entry); preparing IV products and parenteral nutrition; supporting training materials and special projects; and coordinating with the pharmacist for patient-care needs, including referrals and operating-room services. Requires certifications/licensure as applicable by Illinois regulations (Certified Pharmacy Technician or licensed/exempt statuses as outlined by IDFPR). Our compensation ranges from $18.89 to $30.60 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth within Carle Health.
Required Qualifications
