Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacist in inpatient hospital pharmacy across day/evening rotating shifts; responsibilities include assisting pharmacist, refilling bins via robot cart fill and manual picks, updating labeling for admissions/discharges, delivering and exchanging 24-hour cart fill to nursing units, restocking, sending prepared medications via pneumatic tube, managing automated dispensing cabinet inventory, and ensuring proper storage and dating of medications; aseptic preparation of IV medications under USP 795/797/800; PPE usage; requires HS diploma and PTCB certification (or enrollment in PharmD program) with potential certification within 1 year; standing/walking per shift with lifting and moving up to 50 lbs; shifts include early mornings and evenings with weekend/holiday requirement; compensation range $19.84-$29.76 hourly with annualized salaries listed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required unless enrolled in a PharmD program
- PTCB certification within 1 year of employment if applicable
- Bachelor’s in health science majors encouraged with certification within 1 year
- Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Computer experience and basic typing skills
