Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient at Weston Hospital, part of Cleveland Clinic Health System. Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterile and sterile compounding; deliver medications to appropriate storage locations; maintain inventories and perform cycle counts/nursing unit inspections; ensure regulatory compliance including temperature logs and required training; utilize information systems and automation for tasks; assist with training of pharmacy caregivers and students. Shift options include evenings on a full-time rotating schedule (5:00am–1:30pm, 7:00am–3:30pm, 11:00am–7:30pm) with every-other-weekend rotation; eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma or GED, active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license, and FBOP registration; within 18 months of hire, national CPhT certification (PTCB or NHA) and FBOP registration are required. Preferred qualifications include completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Training Program and hospital experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Licensed in Florida as a Registered Pharmacy Technician
- Active registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician through the Florida Board of Pharmacy (FBOP)
- Must hold an active registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician through the Florida Board of Pharmacy (FBOP) at time of application
- Within 18 months from hire: must obtain a national certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA and Registration as a CPhT with FBOP
- Preferred: Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Training Program
- Six months of hospital experience (preferred)
- Outpatient/inpatient experience (preferred)
