Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician IMM responsible for assisting pharmacy personnel with preparing prescriptions, completing related paperwork, and ordering supplies and medications. Works with doctors and insurance companies to verify customer information, prioritizes prescription orders, enters data into the system, verifies coverage, maintains inventory and quality control, processes paperwork and invoices, assists customers, and upholds confidentiality and safety procedures. Requires HS diploma or GED, HIPAA certification, state technician registration and ongoing continuing education, and being at least 21 years old to drive. Demonstrates ability to communicate with customers, doctors’ offices, and third-party insurers; proficiency with basic Microsoft Office; and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a retail pharmacy environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- HIPAA certification
- State Board registration and continuing education requirements for pharmacy technicians
- Age 21 or older to drive for company business
