Job Summary
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, filling, labeling, and packaging while accurately entering prescription and patient information into pharmacy software systems. Prepare and package medications for delivery to long-term care facilities, supporting unit-dose, blister pack, and automated dispensing processes. Maintain accurate records, manage inventory rotation, and process medication returns in compliance with regulations. Answer incoming phone calls to provide basic customer service support to facilities, nurses, and internal staff. This full-time role at Ward Road Pharmacy in Arvada, CO, requires an active Colorado Pharmacy Technician license and includes a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Colorado
- Ability to keep continued Pharmacy Technician licensure
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn pharmacy software systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of pharmacy terminology and medication handling
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing workflows and priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, nurses, and facility staff
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands for typing, packaging, and medication handling
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
