Job Summary
Assist pharmacists in preparing and filling prescription medications, including hazardous and non-hazardous drugs under supervision. Enter prescription information accurately into pharmacy systems and package, label, and manage medications for patient use. Maintain medication inventory by stocking and monitoring supplies while participating in quality assurance activities to ensure patient safety. Follow established pharmacy procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards while working closely with healthcare professionals to support patient care. This role requires National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or ExCPT and NYS registration. Starting pay is $20.44/hour for a full-time, first-shift position at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, a nationally recognized cancer center dedicated to reducing the burden of cancer and improving lives.
Required Qualifications
- National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or ExCPT from National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with NYS Office of the Professions, State Education Department
- High school diploma or High School Equivalency diploma
