Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician I - Outpatient/Ambulatory at Memorial Specialty Pharmacy; works under the supervision of the pharmacist and pharmacy manager to support dispensing functions, pharmacy operational maintenance, inventory management, patient care activities, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include assisting with inventory management (receiving, stocking, processing outdates), using pharmacy automation systems, processing, labeling, documenting, packing, and coordinating delivery of prescriptions, performing activities within the pharmacy technician scope of practice, non-sterile compounding under direct supervision, accurately filling prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, reviewing patient medical information and medication history, data entry, resolving insurance claims and rejections, and assisting with customer service (phone queries, processing prescriptions, delivery coordination, and other pharmacy programs). Competencies emphasize accountability, accuracy, customer service, effective communication, medication dispensing/safety, and standards of behavior.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
