Job Summary
Assist clinical pharmacists in providing an accurate and timely medication distribution system. Maintain active registration with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire and obtain PTCB national certification within one year, with specific provisions for pharmacy school interns. Adhere to strict deadlines for certification renewal and provide proof of intern licensure by the end of the first academic semester if applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician within 30 days of hire date
- Registration must be in good standing active
- Must obtain national certification with PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) within one year of hire date
Additional Requirements
- Failure to obtain national certification by the deadline will result in termination
- Employee must provide an intern license by the end of the first academic semester of pharmacy school or be terminated
