Job Summary
Perform a variety of tasks under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist according to state and federal laws and established policies. Execute mathematical calculations, apply knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology, and manage pharmacy dispensing responsibilities to ensure compliance with regulations. Maintain a full-time rotating shift schedule of 40 weekly hours at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL. Hold a licensed or registered Pharmacy Technician status in the state of practice, with pending status permitted for up to 60 days in Illinois or until registration approval in Wisconsin.
Required Qualifications
- Illinois: At least 16 years of age and is attending or graduated from high school or GED equivalency
- Wisconsin: At least 18 years of age and has graduated from high school or GED equivalency or enrolled in an approved youth apprenticeship program approved by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development
- Licensed or registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice
- IL: May work in a license pending status for up to 60 days
- WI: May work in a pending status until registration is approved
- HSHS requires COVID-19 vaccines or an approved medical or religious exemption for all colleagues
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician achieved within 12 months of hire or enrolled in Doctorate of Pharmacy Program
