Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician needed at Hematology Oncology Associates of Fredericksburg to support oncology clinic operations, including medication preparation and dispensing of chemotherapy under licensed supervision, inventory management, coordination with pharmaceutical representatives, and collaboration with Physicians, Nursing, Pharmacy Supervisor, and Purchasing. The role involves maintaining compliance with state/federal regulations, preparing/dispensing chemotherapy, managing biohazardous waste, training staff on chemotherapy preparation and Nucleus system workflows, and supporting operations across multiple locations. Position requires PTCB Certification or Registered Pharmacy Technician, at least three years in healthcare/clinical setting, and willingness to travel to educational/training sessions. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm at The Lodge in Fredericksburg, VA; travel to clinics as needed; onboarding includes OSHA safety training and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- PTCB Certification or Registered as Pharmacy Technician
- Minimum of three years’ experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting as a Pharmacy Technician
- Valid State Drivers License for travel to clinics
