Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician performs patient-facing and back-office tasks under Pharmacist supervision to support professional pharmacy services. Responsibilities include assisting with order entry, inventory control, billing, and record keeping; maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; communicating effectively with patients and clinical staff; and providing excellent customer service in a not-for-profit, member-centered pharmacy setting. The role requires basic math, computer proficiency, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple GHC-SCW locations, including Madison sites. Minimal physical demands include standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds; transportation to various locations may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with patients and clinical staff
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy technician training program desirable
- Pharmacy experience preferred
