The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing medications for patients under the supervision of a Pharmacist, requiring a high school diploma and a year of pharmacy experience. Strong computer skills and customer service are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1 year experience in a retail, hospital or clinical pharmacy
- Certificate from hospital-based pharmacy technical training program or state certification as Pharmacy Technician
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish language preferred
- Good computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to model good customer service behaviors
- Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Effective communication skills among nursing, medical, and other health disciplines
