Pharmacy Technician - Full or Part Time

Job Summary
Conduct daily prescription processing by locating, counting, and packaging medications for pharmacist verification while entering patient data and orders into pharmacy systems. Screen incoming telephone calls, direct pharmacist-related inquiries, and obtain refill authorizations via phone or fax. Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing supplies, monitoring stock levels, and removing expired medications. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure accurate documentation of labels, MARs, and delivery lists. Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to maintain efficient workflow and provide professional service to patients and healthcare partners.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior Pharmacy Technician experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable using computers, pharmacy software, and related technology
- Basic math skills
- Ability to problem-solve independently and collaboratively
- Ability to maintain patient and employee confidentiality
- Willingness to learn new processes and take on additional responsibilities
- Standing for extended periods while processing prescriptions
- Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and occasional twisting
- Retrieving medications and supplies from pharmacy shelving
- Occasionally lifting and moving totes, medications, and pharmacy supplies
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior Pharmacy Technician experience is a plus
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred, but not required
