Job Summary
Rotate and work within assigned pharmacy workstations to safely and accurately fill, label, and package resident prescriptions for delivery. Manage inventory control and security of controlled substances by communicating supply needs, removing expired medications, assisting with physical inventory, and replenishing stock. Provide cross coverage for multiple technician responsibilities to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining clean, orderly workstations. Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding prescription dispensing under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)
- Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements)
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Proficient in word/excel/email
- Pharmacy software experience
- Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
- Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire about inaccuracies
- Ability to think ahead, plan and manage time efficiently
- Ability to analyze causes and solve problems at both a strategic and functional level
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all team members
- Intrinsic drive to excel coupled with values in line with company philosophy
Desired Qualifications
- National Certification preferred (PTCB)
- 1+ years of related experience (technical knowledge/skills may substitute for experience)
