Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician Floater responsible for preparing and verifying label against prescription and medicine for strength, dosage, and type of medicine for distribution of medication and pharmaceutical supplies. Works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist in a pharmacy setting or under a Medical Doctor/Nurse Practitioner/Pharmacist in a clinic dispensary; may provide backup support for PAP applications and manage inventory for recalls, returns, and stock. The role requires compliance with California Board of Pharmacy laws and regulations, potential weekend coverage, and willingness to work at multiple dispensary locations as needed. Includes duties such as handling patient medications, assisting with PAP applications, and supporting general clerical tasks and trainings; equal employment opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Active and clear California pharmacy technician license.
- Experience working in underserved communities such as undocumented workers, unaccompanied minors, LGBT populations, communities of color, youth/adolescents, and those experiencing homelessness, substance abuse, and/or mental illness; and
- Bilingual English/Spanish required (read, write, speak)
