Job Summary
Reconstitute pharmaceutical drugs, fill bottles with prescribed medication, and complete labels while counting and pouring from stock bottles under direct supervision. File prescriptions, retrieve records, and sell prescriptions when requested, then process dispensed prescriptions by computing charges and entering data into pharmacy software. Accept calls regarding refills, pricing, and availability, and collect payments from patients while performing other front counter tasks. Place, receive, unpack, and store incoming supplies and drug orders, clean equipment, and sterilize glassware. Transcribe orders and request refills on behalf of patients to appropriate providers. Requires PTCB or NHA certification, experience with third-party billing and electronic health records, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician Board (PTCB or NHA) certification
- Active Pharmacy Technician Certification license with WA Department of Health
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician Registration license with ID State Board of Pharmacy
- Experience with third party billing
- Experience with electronic health records
- Excellent customer service
- Oral and written communications skills
