Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician role in a CVS Health retail setting supporting pharmacy teams to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include following SOPs across pharmacy workflow (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off), assisting patients with empathetic service, administering vaccines where allowed, educating patients about vaccines, assisting with immunizations and point-of-care testing as trained, managing basic inventory and returns, aiding in cycle counts and renewals, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility for scheduling, and ongoing training to expand clinical and technical knowledge; prior experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service is preferred. The position is part-time with typical weekly hours of 20 and offers a benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address minimum age, candidate must be at least 16 years of age
- Compliance with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy (age, education, licensure/certification)
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
- Ability to perform tasks such as accurate prescription labeling, customer service, vaccine administration where permissible, and other duties as directed
