Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician role in CVS Health’s retail setting supporting pharmacy teams with prescription fulfillment, inventory tasks, immunizations where allowed, and patient service responsibilities. Responsibilities include following SOPs to ensure safe, accurate dispensing; assisting patients at pickup, drive-thru, and calls; contributing to immunization services as trained; maintaining inventory controls and cycle counts; and complying with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering empathetic, quality customer care. Requires adherence to state Board of Pharmacy guidelines and ongoing training for licensure/certification as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
