Job Summary
Support pharmacy teams by following SOPs at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workstations to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately. Assist patients with immunizations, point-of-care testing, and other services at the register and over the phone while maintaining empathy and genuine care. Complete basic inventory activities including putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stocks as directed by pharmacy leadership. Verify prescription information and label accuracy, manage vaccine supplies, and report adverse reactions per public health requirements. Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws regarding controlled substance dispensing, recordkeeping, and patient privacy.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
