Job Summary
Support pharmacy teams by following SOPs to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while assisting patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone. Complete basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and performing cycle counts, and deliver additional services like immunizations and point-of-care testing where permitted by law and training. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding controlled substances, recordkeeping, and patient privacy. This part-time role requires 20 weekly hours and includes nights and weekends. Candidates must complete required training and satisfy state Board of Pharmacy guidelines for licensure or certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
