Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician in a CVS Health retail setting supporting pharmacists with prescription fulfillment, patient service, and immunizations. Responsibilities include following SOPs at each workstation, assisting with inventory and cycle counts, ensuring safe and accurate medication handling, delivering compassionate customer service, processing prescriptions, labeling and verification, assisting with immunizations where trained, and maintaining compliance with state and local regulations. Strong emphasis on patient experience, accuracy, communication, math and problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel across stores in the market to meet business needs. Requires completion of required training and appropriate licensure/certification to meet state Board of Pharmacy guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing practice of pharmacy, including age, education, licensure/certification.
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age.
- If the state board does not address a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school/high school equivalency program.
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
