Job Summary
Conduct pharmacy operations by following Standard Operating Procedures to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately. Assist patients and customers at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone with empathy, while offering immunizations and other services at the register. Complete basic inventory activities including putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stocks. Support the pharmacy team by complying with all federal, state, and local laws regarding controlled substance dispensing and patient privacy. If permitted and certified, administer vaccines, educate patients, monitor for adverse reactions, and manage vaccine supplies. Maintain flexibility for scheduling, business needs, and voluntary travel to other stores in the market.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
