Job Summary
CVS Health Pharmacy Technician in a Retail setting supports the pharmacy team to deliver operational and service excellence. Responsibilities include following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, assisting with immunizations and other patient services when applicable, maintaining inventory and cycle counts, and ensuring patient safety and compassionate customer experiences. Must complete a rigorous company training program and satisfy state requirements for licensing/certification; roles involve regular attendance, teamwork, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends with part-time hours. Additional duties may include traveling to stores within the market to support staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including but not limited to age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
