Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician in CVS Health retail locations supporting the pharmacy team to accurately fill prescriptions, assist customers, and deliver empathetic patient experiences. Responsibilities include following SOPs for prescription processing, assisting with immunizations where trained and permitted by state law, managing basic inventory and returns-to-stocks, maintaining accuracy and safety in dispensing, and supporting pharmacists across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and call center interactions. Requires completion of state licensing/certification requirements, a high school diploma or equivalent (or active enrollment where applicable), and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Travel to stores in the market may be required to meet business needs. Strong communication, math, and customer-service skills are essential, along with a focus on patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing practice, including age, education, licensure or certification as applicable by state
- High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school/high school equivalency program (where required)
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
- Complete required training within designated timeframe and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements as per state guidelines
