Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician in CVS Health stores supporting pharmacy teams with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, patient service, and immunization responsibilities. Roles include following SOPs for production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off; assisting with inventory and cycle counts; delivering compassionate patient experiences; educating patients about vaccines where allowed, and pursuing required licensure/certification per state guidelines. The technician may travel to stores across the market to cover shifts as needed, and must complete all required training and regulatory requirements to ensure safety and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy (age, education, licensure/certification)
- If the state board does not address a minimum age, must be at least 16
- If the state board does not address a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent or be actively enrolled in high school/high school equivalency
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
- Complete required training within designated timeframe and obtain Technician Immunizer status where permissible to support vaccines (where applicable by state regulations)
