Job Summary
Support pharmacy teams by following SOPs at workstations to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately. Assist patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone with personalized service, while completing inventory tasks like cycle counts and returns-to-stocks as directed. Administer immunizations and other patient services where permitted, including tracking adverse reactions and managing vaccine supplies. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding controlled substances and patient privacy. Complete required training and certification within the designated timeframe, with duties potentially restricted until all state Board of Pharmacy requirements are satisfied. Work flexible shifts including nights and weekends, with an anticipated weekly total of 20 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
