Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health supports the pharmacy team across workflow areas (production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off) to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and excellent patient experiences. Responsibilities include following SOPs, assisting with immunizations and vaccine-related services where permitted, completing inventory tasks, maintaining patient privacy and safety, and assisting in regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The role requires collaborating with pharmacists and colleagues, demonstrating empathy, providing service that enhances patient care, and willingness to travel to stores in the market to meet business needs. A rigorous company training program and completion of necessary registration/certification per State Board guidelines are required, with shifts that may include nights and weekends and a focus on accuracy, math, communication, and problem-solving to support safe pharmacy operations.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
